Electricity name transfer under Fast track Centers (Savi Kirana)

Well the name transfer which used to be a heck of a task in Bengaluru just got way easier. Under the Fast track Centres (Savi Kirana) the whole process is a cake walk. Its an odd half an hour task. They also promise you have to only visit once for any activity, and seems to be true.

High level steps :

• STEP1: Fill the form and get the details ready. (if you want two names on the meter get both the ID's and photos for both the candidates with )

• STEP 2: Get the documents in place :
• Proof of ownership/Proof of residence
• latest tax paid reciept
• Latest bill copy
• Khata/Sale deed.
• One Photo 
• STEP 3: Go to the Fast track centre, submit the docs. Get the challan generated.  
• STEP 4: Make the payment of the fees roughly Rs. 618
• STEP 5: Walk away with the Acknowledgement.

STEP 1: Below is the photo from the office for the docs required

STEP 2: Find the nearest fast track office. Submit the docs to the Engineer/Desk clerk, they will scan the docs and generate the challan (bill) for payment with your details. Check the details and proceed to payment.

STEP 3: Take the challan to the bill desk(payment kiosk) make the payment and return the slip to the desk clerk / Engineer. 

 

STEP 4: they will generate a receipt with all the details. Confirm the details and fly.

SOME FAQ's

PREMISE : One can visit Singasandra bescom office. It has a fast track office. The documents needed are sale deed, id proof, property tax receipt. The cost of application is 618 including GST.

Answer : It does not have payment Center(for singsandra now this is there, earlier we had to go to another location) so the payment needs to be made at Kudlu Gate bescom office, which is in between hotel Ekka and salarpuria cadenza.

Question : Rs 618 for application  form or payment of the whole process ?
Answer : Whole

Question : Also any bribes any where ?
Answer : No

Question : Have you done this process yourself ?
Answer : Yes

Question : So I get the form there itself ? While paying ?
Answer : Ya. But you can download the form as well

Question : And the sale deed has to be notarized?
Answer : Xerox is sufficient

Question : And AE'S signature from local bescom office ...that Is required right !!
Answer : They will get their itself
Answer : We don’t need to do anything
Answer : Other than submitting form with the documents

Question : Take printouts of the meter and reading or photo in phone is enough
Answer : Along with fees
Answer : Take two picture of the meter
Answer : The display should be clearly captured
Answer : One from outside and one from inside. Cell phone photo will suffice also they don't even ask for that most of the times.

Question : Only the bill was attached by you, payment receipt was not required ?
Answer : Only the xerox copy of the bill
